About
Tracey Jacobs LMT
I focus on bringing your body back into balance. By using a vast array of therapeutic techniques, I provide relaxation and release unnecessary tension that can bind and bog down your musculoskeletal system. I specialize in therapeutic and sports massage for all walks of life caused by physical stress from work, training or injury. My clients range from professional to novice athletes, including all ages and a wide range of professions. I help people like you recover and get ready for your next day of training, racing or simply recovering from chronic pain and injury. My goal is to leave my clients feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
My life, work, and study have always been focused on the physical body in motion. This hugely influences my massage practice and makes my massages very unique. My style encompasses a deep understanding of the body, and I use a variety of techniques, integrating deep tissue, deep Swedish, joint range of motion, motion palpation, sports, and other techniques, to make my clients feel their best. I work on men, women and children of all ages and walks of life. My specialty is in sports and therapeutic massage therapy.
I am a Certified Massage Therapist, State Licensed in Colorado, and a professional member of both the American Massage Therapy Association and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I completed a 1000 hour comprehensive Massage Therapy Certification from the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, in Denver, in 2002. Prior to studying Massage, I was a professional dancer.
I earned an Associates in Dance /Choreography from Philadelphia University of the Arts and a BA in Dance/Psychology from The Naropa University. As a retired dancer, my hobbies are often physical in nature. Currently, I enjoy anything bike related. I have competed at the highest level in road and gravel racing the past 2 decades. I enjoy trail running, hiking, strength and conditioning, yoga, and any activity that gets me into nature all seasons of the year.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a massage therapist for cycling teams at training camps and events. Most of my work with athletes uses massage for recovery and preparation for the next days workouts. I’ve seen many of my clients through recovery from surgery on the spine, knees and shoulders as well as working with young children with attention issues.
I founded Pure Massage Boulder as a home for people who need massage as medicine for their bodies. PMB is for people who care how they feel in the bodies and want to feel better. I offer quality, affordable 100-percent therapeutic massage.
